What
is the importance of drivers ed in reducing the number deaths
as a result of driving?

What
steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to
driving?

Have
you ever had an experience of being in a car accident or have seen
your friends or family members driving irresponsibly?

What
steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help
others become safer on the road?

“Drivers ed”,
what does this mean to you? To me this means to gain knowledge about
driving in different environments as well as different circumstances.
It is also the knowledge of knowing and watching your surroundings.
When you are driving, you must drive for the safety of you and
others, my mom told me.

The education of driving is
important because most accidents happen when the young drivers are
inexperienced, they are lacking the proper driving skills or they
simply are not paying attention to the road. Whether it’s your phone
or an annoying passenger. It is imperative that you keep your eyes
locked on the road. Always drive on the defence, never the
offence, an old man told me.

So how can we stop the
madness and correct the correctable wrongs? How can we reduce the
number of deaths? First, how about we stop texting and driving.
Please oh please, put the phone down. Whatever it is, it can wait and
if it cant pull over! A text message is not worth your life or the
life of another. Another way we can reduce the deaths is by having a
licenced and experienced driver present.
Unfortunately
I have come close to experiencing an accident. I dont have a
license, but I was driving anyway. I used my moms car to Mcdonaldas
and I was going to turn into the parking lot. I turned my signal on
and began to turn. I did not see this lady’s car, she was on my left
blind side and I nearly hit her. I did not see her until I turned.
Freaking out I was not paying attention and almost hit a parked car.
Trying to break i forgot that my foot was on the gas and I jerked.
Seeing that Mcdonaldas was packed and I nearly got into two
accedence. I was too embarrassed to walk inside, so I drove back home
frantic.

How
can we be better and safer drivers as well as help others in the
procese? Like my mom said drive for the safety of you and others.
We can be better drivers by doing the basics, no matter how
irrelevant it may sound. That means seat belts, check your mirrors
before you pull off, signals, and look both ways twice. You may seem
like a granny, but at least you will leave to be one. “Driver
education”, what does this mean to you?
