To
begin with, it is very important for a driver to obtain the require
education about how to drive safely to avoid car accident and respect
the traffic laws. The importance of drivers ed lead to a good
and secure society on the road, not only for the driver but also for
the family, especially when you have children, it is necessary to
take the steps of driving safely and be responsible to apply the
different transit rules. In addition, the most important thing is
that this will reduce the number of deaths because of driving; it is
not just about to get a driver license it is also about to take care
of yourself on the road.

Some
of the steps that a driver can take to reduce the number of death
related to driving are: Get enough sleep before you drive so you can
be alert, and concentrated. Look at your mirrors; wear your Seat Belt
properly. Do not consume alcohol. Be aware of what other drivers
around you are doing. Assume other motorist will do something crazy,
and always be prepared to avoid it, keep a 2-second cushion between
you and the car in front of you, never break red signal, always avoid
distractions and make the 4 seconds if the weather is bad. I use to
work in the school bus like a matron taking care of children from 8
to 14 years old, and one time the driver was sleepy and he loses the
control of the brake. I was in the front seat and thanks God I wear
my seat belt and the children were fine. However, that was a bad
experience and I told to my driver to get enough sleep because he
have an enormous responsibility being on the road.

It
is fundamental to avoid distractions of any type to be a better and
safer driver. The most common causes of distracted driving. Talking
and texting. People who use their cell phones to talk or text while
driving are by far the most common reason for distracted driving
accidents. Develop a driving skill it is also important and you can
do that by taking trainings of safe driving where the key skill areas
are speed and space management, vehicle handling, and hazard
recognition, hazard identification involves looking for things,
conditions and practices in driving environments that have potential
to cause or contribute to a crash, and identifying the people who may
be exposed to those hazards. In conclusion driving is not just the
control and operation of a motor vehicle it is an enormous
responsibility where you need to be aware, and focus on the road. You
can make a difference, and save lives. Be a better and safer driver
is not impossible apply safety at every moment is the best choice.
