New
Drivers and Rules

Young
adults are now going into college and learning to drive, but don’t
have any knowledge when it comes to driving on a freeway or streets
and many parents try to teach them on how to drive but that wouldn’t
be sufficient on how to keep them safe or at least drive safe. So the
best course of action that we need to take involves new drivers are
classes and courses about the dangers and rules. The reason why we
need classes is to show drivers the rules that might have been left
out by parents trying to teach them. For example, a parent is
teaching their son or daughter on how to drive and you reach a
parking space at a hill, then you are told to park but they probably
wouldn’t tell you to turn your wheels at a position so your car
doesn’t accident roll down. We want to reduce the number of deaths
for many people because we don’t want a teen to not come home or lose
someone to a drunk driver.

To reduce car
accidents we should require all drivers to take a course about rules
on the streets and freeway for at least a week or have a small course
in high school that will go more in dept about it. And also show how
to drive during emergencies like a thick fog and heavy snow because
no one would want to get hit by a car while trying to cross a road in
fog. We need to improve on how the car functions like braking,
steering, and wheels so that a small portion of death can reduce and
help many people.

I’m glad that I
haven’t been in an accident but I do have an uncle who has DUI for
drunk driving and gladly there was no crash or injury but it has
affected our connection with our relatives. I also know about a car
accident that happened two years ago and it was a street race but the
car crashed and the student in the passenger died and news spread
quickly around the school. We all learned something from that event
and got a clear view of why the rules were made for drivers.

Now that im
learning to drive and hanging out more on the road with friends I
promise to ensure safety to everyone and if I see a drunk driver I
will immediately report them with no hesitation because I will never
know that someone’s life could be taken at that moment. I will also
learn all the rules and all the dangers of driving on drugs or
alcohol. While also trying to limit myself from any distractions like
cellphones. And also check my vehicle regularly to make sure that
there are no problems so that I don’t have an accident while
driving. And the last thing I will do is promise to never drink
alcohol in my life and get into a car with someone who is drunk or
sober.
