the Driver’s Seat

Many
may question why it’s so important to be educated in driving. The
reason why it’s so important is because the number of deaths have
increased as a result of driving. When learning how to drive, or even
just being in a car as a passenger, it is always best to be aware of
the risks and consequences you are taking going into a vehicle. To
lessen the number of deaths as a result of driving, you can get
informed, set boundaries like no drinking and smoking, and always
keep your eyes on the road. It’s important to keep yourself and
others safe.
To reduce the number of deaths related to driving,
you can start by never going into a vehicle that may contain any type
of drug or alcohol. Another way we can lower the number of deaths is
by making sure you are ready and prepared when learning how to drive.
Drivers can protect themselves and others by staying on the speed
limit and making sure you don’t go beyond over it. One of the most
important things to remember is to not get distracted when being on
the wheel. This includes staying off your phone and not being caught
up on who is in the vehicle.

Many
have gotten into car accidents due to reckless drivers. The first
time I ever got in an accident when I was 10 years old. In the
moment, I had no idea what was happening. The incident affected me in
so many ways that it left me traumatized for quite a while. The worst
of it was that it happened on the freeway. As we were headed back
home, a car hit us got away. One mistake I made was that I was not
wearing a seatbelt. Although it was a horrible experience to go
through, I learned that it is important to always wear a seatbelt.

To
be a better and safer driver, also help others be safer on the road,
we can drive only when necessary. For example, if a location is close
it is best to walk or ride a bike. We can also ride with someone who
has experience driving and has a license. Although it might be
tempting to ride with a friend, it is better to stay safe and keep in
mind the risks you are taking. Remember, our life is more valuable
than a ride that may lead us to death.
