Importance of
Driving Safely
Being a high school
student and living by a military base, I find myself having many
obstacles going to and from school. Thankfully, I went through a
drivers ed class. It helped me to understand the basics of
driving and forced me to drive with other adults who have their
drivers’ licenses.
Learning the
importance of driving helps to prevent multiple accidents from
occurring which impact family members and others within the community
and city. When I found out how much insurance cost, I was floored!
I could not imagine the amount and how much it would cost to repair
vehicles. I do not like paying the small amount it cots to have my
oil changed and tires rotated on a regular basis.
I have rode with
friends who I have found on their cell phones which scare me at
times, because I have been in fender benders with family members and
get scary. I hope not to go through that myself. I have been
looking at colleges nearby and far. I know that my parents worry
about me attending a university far away due to the amount of driving
I would have to do in order to get home for holidays or vacations.
This is why I find it very important to learn the importance of
driving for any person!
Every day when I get into my car, I try not to become complacent,
however, I know that it is an easy thing to do. I, myself, like
other people, enjoy listening to music and looking at the scenery
around me, but I understand that I need to be safe while on the road.
I have a little brother, and I understand that there are other
families on the road that are transporting their own family members
as well. I cannot imagine my family being in an accident and
anything happening to that little guy! I live in a strong family
that strive to teach me the importance of family and that “blood is
thicker than water.”
Everybody needs to
be safe once they decide to turn on their ignition and get on the
road. People need to remember it is not just them, but other people
on the road that they are affecting. Please be safe!
