“Driving Safe”

Many teens start
driving at around the age of fifteen, our teens are on the road, but
how can we keep ourselves safe? There are many efficient ways to keep
yourself and others around you safe while driving. As a driver, many
of us know how to drive, and can even give tips on safe driving. The
tips can range from being attentive, keeping your eyes on the road,
don’t text, don’t drive under the influence and so on.

Driving for me has
never been a struggle, my father taught me how to drive at age
eleven. Technically I was fourteen, but every so often he would sit
me on his lap and let me hold the steering wheel. I never thought I
was a bad driver, others would seem nervous but I would hardly ever
get a sense of uneasiness. The first thing my father told me when I
had begun driving was the three exes, ex. number one never text and
drive, ex. number two never take your eyes off the road, and ex.
number three never drive under the influence. I never took these
rules lightly, I made sure to be the best possible driver, for myself
and others around me.

As someone who has
been driving for about five years now i feel like i can be a good
advisor on how to be safe on the road. I would give a beginner tip to
keep your eyes on the road, now that doesn;t mean to just stay gazing
at the road in front of you i mean that you will also be looking at
what is surrounding you. Make sure to look at your three mirrors, the
outside rear-view mirror as well as the one inside your car. These
mirrors will help to aid your vision while driving. In my driving
instructed class I was told that when your come to a stop, and are
about to turn you always make sure to look through your mirrors.

When driving you
also need to be aware of the weather conditions and how to drive in
any type of weather. You must know how to drive in the rain, snow,
and how to properly operate your vehicle to those specific types of
conditions. Driving in the rain can
be both scary and dangerous, and it’s important to take wet weather
seriously when you’re on the road. There are lots of things you can
do to make driving in the rain safer, including being prepared by
making sure your car is ready and ensuring you can always see
properly. But most importantly, you have to drive according to the
conditions, and adjust a few of your habits to avoid sliding,
skidding, or being involved in a collision.

In
conclusion, driving safe can save yourself and others around you.
There are many tips on how to drive safely. Driving safe is so
important and not to be taken as a joke. If we all as a community and
a population to civilization take actions to be safe we can all avoid
mishaps. I know that driving safe and taking these tips into
consideration will provide you will great knowledge.
