When
you are in the driver’s seat, you are the one that is in complete
control. You have to use your five senses to ensure that you can hear
a horn or siren, use your eyes to see in all directions and be able
to see in your mirrors, your feet and arms to be able to adjust the
speed, brake when needed, and to use your sense of smell encase there
are problems within or outside the car that could be a potential
hazard. When you are the driver, you are in control to ensure
safety, to pay complete attention, and that nothing else is worth the
risk of your life. You must always wear your seat belt, and nothing
on your phone will be more important than your own life. The only
one you can trust when driving is you, but only if you are 100%
paying attention. Other drivers can make mistakes as well as the
weather can play a significant role in how you and other drivers
respond to certain situations on the road. As the driver your
passengers need to be able to trust you that you are not under the
influence of any substances that could impair your judgments while on
the road. When you get behind the wheel you are making a promise to
yourself and all others that will come in contact with you whether
they are walking, riding, passing by you in another car that you are
under control and will be respectful of the laws and regulations that
make you a safe driver. Be a responsible driver no matter what your
life and everyone else depends on your driving skills. I will always
let my sister that while driving, it is more critical for her to
arrive safely. I will tell her that I need her in my life.
