In A Blink

One
can never be to safe while behind the wheel. Three million people in
the U.S are injured every year in car crashes. Also, statistics
display one in every seven individuals do not wear a seatbelt while
driving. This is where Drivers ed comes along. Driver’s
education can teach the fundamentals of driving which will help
educate the minds of the drivers. It will bring more awareness to the
dangers of driving.

Before
getting behind the wheel, the driver must be well rested and not
under any influence. Sleep deprivation and or being under the
influence are the main factors in car wrecks. Another factor is not
wearing a seatbelt. Seatbelts can be a win or lose variable. Meaning
sometimes a seatbelt can save or take a life. The majority of the
time seatbelts save lives and prevents people flying through the
windshield. By reducing those factors is reduces the outcome of
death.

I
have been in one car crash in my life. My aunt took her medication
(she had cancer) and a few hours later she thoughts she was adequate
to drive. When we first got in the car everything was settle, until
she began to pick up speed. In doing so I warned she was about to hit
a parked car. My aunt did not realize until it was too late. It was a
head on collision. Luckily no one was injured too bad and we
survived. That accident could have ended so much worse than it did, I
am thankful it did not. This is another reason why driver’s
education is vital. We learned the hard way, how dangerous it is to
handle machinery after taking medication, even if you wait a few
hours. In a blink of an eye one’s entire life can change because of
one irresponsible driver.
