Do not get influenced by others, take action of your safety and others

Having the accessibility to drive while being young or any other age holds a huge responsibility. Not only you as a driver need to be careful but the passengers along with you as well. I have heard accidents of family friends that got into and ended up dead due to other drivers speeding, drinking, texting or being on drugs. It is crucial to have conscious when you are going to drive. I recently got my license this year and I have driven through busy streets, highways, etc., but seeing how others drives drive gets me nervous but yet again when you drive you need to feel secure. There are so many ways to reduce the number of deaths in dangerous driving situations. For example, let’s say you are invited to go to a college party and you are asked to pick up several of your friends because you only have a car. Let’s be real, you know there will be alcohol, drugs, etc., so what you can do is take an Uber. Let your friends know to meet you at your house and all of you can carpool to the party. It is sad to say some discard this option but it is a useful advice I could give and say. Another common solution is to stop speeding or doing races with you friends. Okay, it could be fun and the adrenaline is there but will it be fun if you kill someone because you were speeding? Will it be fun if you yourself end up in the hospital because you were going 150 mph? Will it be fun if you involve your best friends into this dangerous activity and next thing you know they are battling with their life because they couldn’t control the steering wheel? Will that be fun and cool? I know many people who drive without license because either they are too lazy to take the driving test or they feel they won’t pass it, but that’s why the city, governor, or whoever is in charge of this must take an action. Those people who drive without license are most likely the ones who cause car crashes or for whatever the situation is. Driving can be scary but you must take the right actions. Do not drink while driving. Do not text while driving. That’s another one, texting. I have witnessed so many people texting while driving and I have to say, “May you please put your phone down and focus when driving?”  Yes, it may sound like I’m being annoying but annoying of what? Annoying I’m saving my own life and theirs? Annoying because I’m avoiding a car crash? Another situation where people are killed is car meets. I have personally been invited to go and all I see during car meets is that these people mainly teenagers doing dangerous activities such as, drifting, doing circles in cars, etc. I don’t know much of it but I know of this illegal activity. All I can suggest is to not attend and stay away from it. I don’t understand why people want to risk their lives. I really don’t get why people have this mentality that if you take a drink one cup of beer or anything they will be fine but really your not “fine”. The alcohol goes into your system and it messes you up. I did some research online and I read that every day there is people dead due to having alcohol in their system while driving. Another big issue is parents. Why parents? Parents in this generation giving 15 or 16 year-old cars and these teenagers have the idea of wanting to speed or trying new “things”. What I mean is drugs and alcohol. I can go on and on why teenagers shouldn’t own a car due to how dangerous it has gotten in the streets. According to The Zebra, it states that, “Over 10,000 Americans a year are killed by drunk drivers, about 1,000 of them being children. (CDC)” Not only children but also adults. All I can recommend to drivers is to be careful and take action of protecting your life and others. Don’t do extreme activities. If you do get tempted into doing something before driving or during driving take note of the consequences. Once again I will mention: do not text while driving, do not drink before or during while your driving, do not do drugs, do not smoke or vape while driving, do not speed or participate in activities of racing, etc..
