The Art of Driving

Driving is an activity that millions and billions of people do all around the world. In addition to offering you the chance of freedom, it also comes with a few responsibilities that go along with it. Safe driving is not just obeying the laws and rules that your driving school teaches you, it encompasses a mindset of mindfulness, respect for yourself and other drivers, and preparedness. Especially for inexperienced drivers, they must develop these skills to grow and be safe drivers, not just for themselves but for everyone around them.

There is a lot to be learned about safe driving from taking a driving course, and the foundation of that is adhering to the laws and procedures that you were taught at the school. Such as traffic regulations, speed limits, traffic signs and lights, and turn signals. There is also many more that every driver who is behind the wheel should know before starting to drive because you can easily put everyone at risk in a big vehicle like a car so the driver should be extra careful. All traffic laws that inexperienced drivers are taught to follow are designed to mitigate those risks and maintain order on the roads for all users. However safe driving goes far beyond rules, it demands your attention and ability to adjust to situations and other risks on the road while driving. Such as keeping a proper following distance, being able to scan the road for dangers, and being prepared to act on unexpected changes. I am a fairly new driver fresh out of driving school and I have experienced many drivers who are older than me disobeying the rules. Many people are so confident in themselves, and their driving tends to not follow all the rules and safety regulations that are put in place to protect everyone. One time i was driving to work on my normal Rute and someone cut in front of me without using their signal light and proceeded to speed ahead and run a red light. This was very frustrating, but I knew I had to keep my composure and make sure i was maintain my safe driving because it could have ended badly. It is well known that distractions are one of the most common causes of accidents among people. Distractions such as being on the phone, having loud music or company in the car and even just not paying attention to the cars around you. This is an excessively big problem especially for inexperienced drivers. There was recently a story of a boyfriend who was trying to impress his girlfriend by driving extremely fast and swerving between cars on the highways and long roads in his city at night, as he does this he also puts a ton of people at risk and ended up crashing into a 18 wheeler truck that he probably could not see or did not have enough time to slow down before hitting, which resulted, and incredibly young lives being lost.

Safe driving is not just a personal responsibility, but it impacts everyone around you. It is important to understand that the positive impact of safe driving extends far beyond the people on and around the roads; it can also impact families, communities, and societies. Each year so many lives are lost and so many families are heart by losing loved ones to dangerous drivers and bad accidents that could have been prevented. I have seen so many devastating effects of recklace driving not only in my state but many others as well. As a result, it is extremely crucial to promote safe driving to everyone .I encourage safe driving every day, I would hate for the people I love to be affected by the dangers out there so this is why i constantly remind them prioritize all of their safety checks and safe practices so they can keep themselves safer on the roads. Not only I , but many people have lost family members to recklace driving and if we do not change something many others will be affected too. It is extremely important to recognize that no person out in the world is immune to the dangers that are presented on the road every day, regardless how skilled they are and how many years they been driving. This is why we should always promote and encourage these safe driving strategies because you never know who next no matter how good of a driver, they think they are.
