For the safety of you and everyone around

The thrill of driving, the excitement of being independent, the feeling of freedom, and the allowance to take ourselves to different places mark the milestone of the start of adult phases for every person. But every fun experience requires responsibility essentially to keep yourself and everyone around sane and safe. As a high school teenager, driver education comes in handy as a beneficial tool, especially in introducing the younger generation to different factors involved in driving. The platform is especially helpful in explaining how our mental state and attitude during driving affect the overall quality and safety not only to ourselves but also to others around us. This knowledge further helps deepen my understanding of the need to pay more awareness to my surroundings as the settings that we are in change every second in the outside world. Driver education also includes vital information that helps the learner know more about the function of the car as well as any gravity that is physically present in or outside to teach how to properly structure the car when parking and driving under different weather conditions. This further helps educate driver beginners to familiarize themselves with important information before putting it out to the test in the real world. Driver education is an important requirement for the youth as it introduces and demonstrates the role the driver has at hand and how to safely protect themselves on the road by being cautious when driving for their stakes and their surroundings which further help decrease the number of deaths.

The number of deaths related to driving has rapidly increased more than ever throughout the year; however, taking into account the steps that need to be carried out at all times while driving will ultimately help lessen the rate of tragic accidents. This includes maintaining a positive attitude and being kind to others when driving. Understandably, everyone experiences every day differently than others which could result in different emotional states. Despite what we feel due to whatever we come across in a day being valid, our actions must not reciprocate the feeling to our surroundings, which could be a big distraction in our mind while driving. Therefore, keeping a respectful attitude toward everyone around helps you in your merrier way without causing any bother to anyone. Additionally, it is important to recognize our mental state before driving is required to be conscious at all times. If we ever catch ourselves wanting to fall asleep or drunk in alcohol, it is recommended to take another drive home or wait for ourselves to fully awake before entering the road.

From my experience in driving, I have witnessed numerous times when low levels of patience in different drivers caused frustration and expression that could leave a bad impression on others. I still remember the time when I practiced my car lesson with my mom by driving around the park near my neighborhood, obeying the speed limit as instructed, I noticed the car behind me was tailgating, leaving me worn out with anxiety that they might hit me from behind. As I was about to take a turn into the nearest parking lot to practice backup and parking, I heard a yelling from outside of my rolled-down window and inaudibly picked up an angry tone from another driver telling me how slow I was. The reckless attitude the other driver gave me that day caused me to refuse to roll down my window for a while when driving. Another irresponsible driving scenario I was able to witness occurred at a four-intersection. When I was appropriately following the flow of cars to turn right from one intersection to another, I recognized a car from the opposite intersection illegally flew straight to the lane I was about to enter. Luckily, by remaining calm and controlling my steering wheel, I was able to avoid a big accident in the middle of the intersection.

The driving lesson hours with my teacher as well as my parents have helped me fulfill myself with different advice, tips, and strategies to help drive safely on the road. Besides maintaining a good manner to everyone around, I think it is also important to constantly check your blind spots and rearview mirror from time to time from backing up, changing lanes, turning at an intersection, and driving straight on a road with multiple lanes. Besides, watch out for pedestrians walking on the road and scan the view carefully at traffic lights before entering the intersection to help avoid any obstacles that would cause potential accidents. Obey the law and follow the speed limit in all seriousness to help traffic move easier and safer on the road. Being mindful and friendly to other drivers on the road helps educate each other about a healthy environment to drive in. Overall, following the law and taking driving safely into consideration when driving on the road further help the individual become a better driver while also being able to make the knowledge received from driver education more practical which ultimately reduces the amount of traffic and accidents.
