Safety while driving is a very important thing because if there wasn’t any safety on the roads then there would people dying left and right, just on the roads. Safety always comes first when it comes to driving, for example seat belts, air bags, and the strong structure of a car. All these parts come in handy for road safety. It is also important that you are educated when you drive, that is why they don’t let a thirteen-year-old kid go drive on the roads by himself. It is important to be educated when you drive. So, when you are fifteen you get your learners’ permit then you must go through a whole drivers education course and pass a written exam and then the road exam. When you pass that then you can get your driver’s license. So, when you are going on your drivers education course it teaches you all about the rules of driving and what you need to know to be safe on the roads and it teaches you how to be aware of your surroundings.

I think it is very important that we teach drivers education in school because without that program then the roads would be a disaster, people would be making up their own rules and regulations and car crashes would happen all the time. This doesn’t mean that car crashes won’t stop happening, of course there will be accidents and flukes, but going through drivers education helps the numbers go down in car crashes and deaths caused by car crashes. What it means to be a safe driver is don’t text and drive, don’t drink and drive, don’t drive sleepily. You need to take all these precautions because it keeps you safe on the roads, but it also keeps others safe on the roads. Because you could get in a car crash and die and sometimes it wouldn’t be your fault, it would be a stupid person who isn’t paying attention or isn’t following the laws and there goes your life. So, it is smart for you to follow the rules all the time, so you don’t put you or anyone else in danger because it only takes one wrong move to really mess something up or kill someone. It is important when you are driving that you look way down the road and peripherals to see where all the cars are surrounding you, because part of being a good driver is being aware of your surroundings and being aware of other drivers because you don’t know when someone is going to make a dumb mistake. One of the main keys to safe driving is don’t drive distracted, distractions could be your friends, music, kids, phone, etc. If you are paying attention to all those things while you are driving, then there will be way less car crashes.

When you get older it is also important to check in on your vision, so if you have bad vision, it is a good idea to go to the DMV and get your eyesight checked because it is crucial to have good vision on the road. Because what do you do when you are driving, and your eyesight is blurry. That puts you in danger because you can’t see when you are driving, but that also puts others in danger because you are driving blindly so the odds of you getting in a wreck are super high. Also, an important thing that people need to know is that if you are traveling at nighttime, you need to make sure to get a lot of rest and make sure you are fully rested because if you drive sleepy, you will be swerving left and right and in between lanes and you are putting you self in a lot of danger because you can run into the wall of you will run yourself off the road. Also, with your swerving lines you also are putting a lot of people in danger.

Another thing is when you are driving at nighttime you need to be aware of animal crossing. Because you could be driving in the dark and all this sudden a deer could jump in front of you and the best thing to do is just hit the deer, don’t swerve because that could cause a way worse car crash for you. So, road safety is a very important thing. You need to always be aware and make sure you are following the rules, and you will be ok.
