Driving
Safety

There
are millions of cars that drive home every day from work. Each and
every one of them contains a life that we, as a random driver don’t
know about. People have kids, family, and friends and nobody contains
the right to strip innocent people from those who care about them.
Being driver comes with many responsibilities and with putting
yourself on the road, you’ve agreed to the terms and conditions of
protecting yours and other’s lives. Ignorance to these terms such
as; drinking and driving, texting and driving, or even driving
sleepily comes with no excuse when there are others involved. One
person’s pain does not only affect them, it affects many others.

Self
awareness should be placed within one’s everyday driving routine in
order to protect other’s lives. Not only should you have knowledge
towards what you are doing, but also consider other’s lives and the
possibilities. What if they will grow to be the ones to cure cancer
or go on mission trips to aid third world countries out of poverty
and famine? No matter who it is, everybody deserves the life that
they are living and being self aware in what you are doing is the
least you could do to protect them.

While
I myself have never been in a car accident, I am aware of steps that
would reduce not only the deaths but the accidents themselves.
Irresponsibility is a characteristic of which is not tolerated on the
roads. A way in which some could reduce their chance of being is an
accident is to be hyper aware of their surroundings, if something
doesn’t feel right, follow your gut. Wearing your seatbelt, taking
care of yourself, watching for those around you as well as road
conditions could save lives
