Safe! We need it

It will sound cliche if I say
“Drive Safe ” because obviously they will do whatever they want.
Most people are aware of the consequences of not driving safely.
However, they are the ones who decide how to drive. I specified “most
people” because some of them are conscious of how to drive safely.
People are aware that there have been thousands of accidents among
ALL ages. There are many car accidents among the day. This subject is
so important that there are close to 40,000 car accidents per year in
the United States. More than 8,000 people are killed in the United
States. Sadness
part? They are
drivers between 16-20 years old.

I don’t know how to
demonstrate to our community the importance of driving irresponsibly.
I have noticed that it does not matter videos, examples, experiences,
words, among others. Our community keeps driving like nothing is
going to happen. They think that because they have years of
experience, they can drive without being conscious of accidents. I am
aware that some people are safe drivers. GREAT! We need more people
like that. People who care and respect other’s life and laws.

I have been in car accidents,
there were not that bad at the end of the day. Except for one of
them, there was a time that I almost suffered the consequences of
another person. There was one time I was walking to go to school with
my sister and a car almost hit us. First, it was a school zone.
Second, it was an urbanization (you’re not supposed to go too fast).
While I was crossing the street to go to my school, a car was going
too fast that the person had to brake and turn the car off. The car
stopped right in front of me. It was a terrible scene, my whole body
started shaking. I felt too weak, and I clearly started crying. This
person got very angry with me and started yelling at me. But he was
the one who was going too fast and was on the cell phone. Thank God
nothing happened to me, my sister and the driver. People Should stop
driving with their cell phones in their hand. It’s not a joke, I
could have lost my life. This is an experience I don’t want to go
through again and I don’t want other people to get through it. It’s
terrible and scary.

I have friends and family that
drive irresponsible. Every time I am in the car with them I have to
talk to them about driving safely. Obviously, their answer is that
they have years of experience. I know that people are conscious of
the consequences; however, they believe they will never have that
experience. I need people who are aware and care about safe driving.
It is important to be able to understand the consequences of our
acts. It is time to stop driving however we want, and start driving
safely. It’s sad to know that many people die every year and most
of them are young people.
