Importance of Safe Driving

Safe
driving has long been an endorsed practice to minimize the negative
possibilities of reckless driving, however time has corroded the bond
between safe driving and society. Modernized times and brilliant
innovations have been focusing on minimizing the results of car
accidents as well, which is believed to be lowering the standard at
which an individual must be educated about the road and safe
practices. Regardless of any new technologies being implemented into
the usage of vehicles, they are still large husks of metal that
create the possibility for injury. This being said, an improved
education over the topic at hand is absolutely crucial and does
wonders to reduce the risks of injury or fatality. There are numerous
possibilities for an individual to make a mistake when driving a
vehicle weighing well over a ton and defensive driving renders those
possibilities unlikely. A
true defensive driver must also take into account the minds of their
fellow conductors without prior knowledge of who they are or even how
they are personality wise. In doing so, the individual acknowledges
the possibilities and immediately begins devising any possible
solution or path they could take to avoid sustaining damages. The
responsibility of an individual’s vehicle also plays a vital role
in defensive driving. Being aware of a car’s limitations ensure the
driver’s shift in conducting by avoiding the possible results of
improper vehicle care. For example, a driver must ensure all
directional functions within a vehicle are fully operational so
cautious decisions made by fellow drivers could be facilitated. A
driver must also be wary over the conditions of their tires. Over
long periods of use, the tires may become wasted and create the
possibility of the car to slip on an open road due to slight
unfavorable weather conditions, formally known as hydroplaning due to
rainfall. Sadly, I have experience when it comes to car accidents and
it is completely safe to say that it does so much more that physical
damage. I have experienced firsthand the intense trepidation that
vehicle collisions cause to the psyche of an individual; the thought
drives me into brief episodes of panic and anxiety that negatively
affected the way I viewed conducting a vehicle. To even acknowledge
the possibility of the outcome being even worse than I had
experienced increased the dread I felt in regards to it. I am lucky
enough to say that I do not fear driving as much as I had during the
first moments of the collision and can say for certain that the
experience only drove me to glorify defensive driving as it may save
my life one day. I do know that an individual’s defensive driving
ability could always be better developed and in response, I now take
multiple precautions before driving. I could only hope that sharing
my experience could influence the way reckless drivers view defensive
driving as I could never wish the dread I felt upon anyone in any
situation.
