Driving: The Privilege
Driving
is taken for granted by many people, it is a privilege that many
young people have because many of us are fortunate enough to be able
to afford it. We are very fortunate in where we live as we are able
to have the luxury of driving as a teenager.
Drivers
ed is a requirement and it is an important thing. It tells us of the
rules of the road, even though many people just overlook them and
just strive to pass the class. It is important to know the rules as
they are there for a reason and are very important. Drivers ed makes
it so that no one is ignorant of rules so no one should have an
excuse for breaking the law in driving.
We
need to pay more attention to what we are actually doing, not
thinking about what is on our phone or what your best friend is
doing. When we drive without paying attention we are not just risking
our lives but anyone else’s who is on the road with you. I
personally do not use my phone at all when driving, many times it is
in my purse so that I will not be distracted by it. We should strive
to keep our phones out of our reach while driving as that costs the
lives of many people yearly.
This
luxury should not be taken for granted, it is a privilege not a right
for us to be able to drive. Making sure we follow the rules makes it
so that we can keep the privilege. It can be taken away at any time
because of a mistake.
