Your Way Into a Better Life
One
would be remiss by not practicing safe driving techniques in one of
many places in the world where safety isn’t an option, but an
obligation. Let all individuals be mindful of the dangers of driving
to preclude accidents caused by common and uncommon mistakes. It is
unfortunate how many lives are lost every day because of foolish
acts. In 2019, nearly 40,000 people died in a car accident.
Fortunately, there are classes solely based on keeping every
individual in safe hands, predominantly on the road. It is essential
that those who may have drivers ed courses, grasp the
information given to them, and use what has been taught to their
advantage. Education on driving is important in a variety of ways, as
it can reduce the number of deaths in a result of driving. Those ways
include: Warning persons on the consequences of incautious driving,
providing details on how to go about changing lanes or giving the
right-of-way and so on, and makes certain that individuals have
adequate knowledge as far as following rules and regulations for a
safe trip to wherever one has to go.
Putting
all things aside is key before putting your “key”
in
the ignition. Things, such as cellular and other electronic devices,
cosmetics, food, and drinks should be the least of one’s concern
whilst behind the wheel. Also, drugs and alcohol should be avoided at
all times to ensure the safety among drivers and pedestrians.
Following these orders will ultimately reduce the number of deaths
related to driving. Distractions are a silent killer among all of us.
Not
having experienced a car crash, I, like many, have instead witnessed
irresponsibility in those behind the wheel. Rather it was texting or
simply daydreaming at a red light, I always made it a priority of
mine to alert them of imprudent activities that could result in
unintended situations. As a passenger, I play an important role in
safe driving, even though I may not be driving at the time.
Steps
myself and others can take for a guaranteed safe trip, are to follow
guidelines and procedures on the road as well mannered as possible.
Individuals should use their best judgment when making decisions,
especially in a time-sensitive predicament. In regards to assisting
others with safe driving skills, one can simply remind another to
buckle their seatbelt, stop texting while driving, or any other
commands relevant to safe driving habits daily.
It’s
always important to obey the law. In this case, everyone should obey
laws in correlation to driving. Operating a motor vehicle with the
intention of a non hazardous outcome is just one of the many steps to
driving. Essentially, you are putting your own life and potentially
other lives at risk. With this in mind, make sure you are cautious
and aware while in this position. According to Maslow’s Hierarchy
of Needs, safety is represented as one of the most fundamental needs.
Let’s honor this, together.
