It’s A Dangerous Road Out There

It’s
A Dangerous Road Out There

I
was just five years old when I got into a car accident for the first
time. It happened in Ohio as we were traveling home from seeing
relatives at Thanksgiving. My parents weren’t the ones at
fault–nobody really was since it wasn’t caused by an act of
irresponsibility. But it showed me just how scary automotive
accidents are. When I think about it now, it shows me how much worse
it could have been if it was because of an act of irresponsibility.

Everyone deserves
to have a drivers ed. People who actually know how to drive
should be the only people who are driving at all. On top of this, I
think that driving tests (such as the one you would take to acquire
your driver’s license) should be stricter in order to “weed out”
anybody who would be irresponsible on the road. If everyone who drove
had a good education in driving and acted responsibly while doing it,
then more people wouldn’t die as a result of irresponsibility on
the road.

Accidents will
always happen even with the best of drivers. Even with people like
myself, I sometimes catch myself doing things that I should be more
aware of while I am driving. To become a better driver, I can review
driving guidelines and recommendations set in place by the state and
use what I learn from this when I drive. I can help others as well by
telling them what I have learned about driving, and how they can help
other people that they know become better drivers. If everyone does
this, then less people will be irresponsible drivers and less people
will die as a result of people being irresponsible on the road.
