Reckless
Driving Causes Restless Lives

Driving
is a right of passage for every sixteen year old in America. The
ability to go wherever you want with your car is a beautiful thing.
However, driving a car requires a lot of responsibility, as a driver
myself I take many precautions before, during and after I am on the
road. Taking a drivers ed class helped me learn what those
precautions were. My instructor guided me into becoming a good
driver, “Look over your shoulder before you switch lanes.” “Scan
continuously while your driving and know your surrounding.” and
“Two hands on the wheel!” It all stuck with me and is
undoubtedly why I have not been in an accident since I got my
license. I feel if every driver took a drivers ed class, it
would help reduce the number of accidents and deaths caused by
driving every year. I lost my cousin at only thirteen years old to a
reckless cab driver, because the driver did not pay attention.
Therefore I always practice safe and defensive driving when I am on
the road (putting my blinker on early, not passing slow drivers,
following the speed limit, looking over my shoulder before switching
lanes, stopping at stop signs, etc.) being considerate of others and
not causing reckless and unnecessary problems on the road. That way
there will not be any reckless driving that can cause restless lives.
