Hit Rewind

If
only we had a remote controlling life. Rewinding mistakes that we
make, pausing in moments where we can think a little longer, fast
forwarding to our favorite part, but this is not reality. Everything
in life has a cause and effect. This is why we need to think about
the decisions we make before we let it happen. Drivers ed is a
very important part in reducing the number of deaths caused by
driving. We are shown the results of bad decisions we could make and
this could potentially harm innocent people. Young adults look
forward for the day where they receive their permit and the day that
finally are handed a drivers license. This is the point of life where
we need to know that every decision we make will lead to a
consequence. The consequences could either be good or bad. Being
shown videos of reckless driving and learning about all the things
that could hinder our ability to drive really help us to understand
what could happen. There are steps that could be taken to limit the
amount of deaths due to driving such as passing a law in all states
to stop texting while driving. Everyone should have their phone on
silent when driving unless it is an emergency where they need to keep
their phones on. Currently, many of the accidents are caused by
distracted driving in the vehicle. I fortunately have never been in a
car accidentally nor seen any of my parents driving under the
influence or distracted, but I have head many first hand accounts. I
think that everyone should have a part in helping everyone stay safe
of the road and this starts with contributed your own part. For me, I
will turn my phone on silent so I am not distracted by calls , texts,
etc. If I need to use a ups, I have a place where I can put my phone
and see it in a place where it is safe. Lastly, everyone needs to
know about the consequences of reckless driving. People need to fully
understand the negative consequences of something that could have
been avoided.
