The importance of drivers ed is to prepare citizens how to drive safely on the road and following the law. Drivers ed can reduce the numbers of deaths by educating citizens on what they should not do while driving. For instance, this involves not texting and driving, wearing seatbelts, not drinking and driving. Steps that can be taken to reduce the deaths of driving is paying attention to your surroundings and knowing how to operate your vehicles. This would mean before you hit the gas pedal you should look and double check for cars coming. Also, when should check your car but if you don’t know how to you should take it to a mechanic. My personal experience with getting into a car accident was scary. We were hit from the back and had little to no damage. While this was a small incident it was also an alarming experience and I didn’t know what to do or how to react. The steps that you can take to be a better safer driver is pay attention to the required speed limit, don’t be so close to other cars, pay close attention to the signs, get a ride if you not able to drive, and use your turning lanes.
