The rough of the road

Drivers should be informed on how deadly the devices that they are driving are. I knew how deadly they are but I didn’t realize that it was that much. I thought the rate of deaths as a result of driving was less than 25,000, but it’s a little higher than 30,000. With the number of deaths so high, one thing that could be done to reduce the number would be to inform people on the facts. When you are starting to drive no one tells you the number of people that have died from a car accident. When I went to a defensive driving class I learned those facts, and I think that it’s good for everyone who drives to go through some kind of driving course that tells you more information about the road and what to do if you are in a dangerous situation. I personally haven’t been in a car accident, knock on wood, but I have seen some irresponsibly driving in my 17 years of life. Most of the irresponsible things that I see are people texting and driving. With texting and driving most people who are newer to driving think that they can do it because they have seen their parents do it, but they don’t realize their parents have been driving way longer and have more experience. A way to be safer on the road is to pay attention, that means getting your music ready before you start on your drive. Another way is to be aware of the dangers of driving.
