Other drivers also maybe texting and driving which causes them to become inattentive to what’s going on in front of them while driving. So you being the driver needs to watch out for other drivers that may be texting and driving and you can not do that if you are also texting and driving. Other vehicles might run over potholes or swerve into rails which might lead to accidents that could be fatal. This is why drivers need to stay attentive on the road to protect themselves from other wild drivers. Texting while driving makes it so you spend less time looking at the road and more time looking at the phone. So drivers that might be texting and driving may not see a person or animals crossing the street, so there is a higher probability of hitting a person or an animal while they are crossing the road.
