You can’t get home, unless you’re safe

Have you ever seen a car fly into your front yard in the middle of the night? Well I have! To explain, my house is located by the 405 freeway in Carson, CA, and one night I was sitting in the living room with my sister and I heard a big noise outside. To my surprise, I saw a car sitting in my front yard! The police reported that the reckless driver was a teenager without a driver’s license. Therefore, safe drivers are extremely important, and we need them. We can start by taking drivers education seriously. Why? It can reduce the number of deaths as a result of driving. Drivers education teaches teenagers how to safely operate a vehicle during any circumstances such as driving during the day and at night. This is important because when a teen has taken Drivers ed it gives them a clear understanding of the rules and safety measures before actually driving .Taking the course can also teach minors mechanical knowledge that many other drivers don’t know which can lead to more accidents occurring , when the problem could have been just as simple as going to get a tire change or when to get a oil change . Teenagers need to know the proper attitudes and skills for the safety of themselves and the pedestrians too . This is important because it allows them to be able to spot aggressive drivers on the road . Although I’ve never experienced being in a car accident myself , I have seen one & I have been in a car with someone who wasn’t taking the safety procussions when driving on the road. This makes the passengers feel unsafe while in the car with someone who isn’t paying close attention to the road . A step I can take to be a better and safer driver is by getting plenty of rest before driving . Being well rested before driving can improve my driving performance . This allows me to have a much clearer vision while paying attention to the road instead of being drowsy and drifting into lanes which can cause a collision . Having that energy while driving prevents errors too as if i didn’t have the energy i could possibly make minor mistakes .Making sure i know all of the rules of the road is a step i can take to be a safer driver as well . Knowing all the rules and regulations will not only keep me safe but other drivers on the road safe too. A step I can take to help others become safer on the road is by setting a good example for them . Being that good example for others is important because there can be a time where a new driver is in the back of me and they will follow as I do on the road . If they don’t know what turn to make or which way to go I am their example . In conclusion , having safe drivers on the road is very important for not only the one driving but for all those that are on the road , we need to know the proper not only safety procussions but the proper education too on driving .
