The Importance of Safe Driving

Safe driving education can allow a new driver to be informed of the dangers of the road. It can help them to take driving more seriously by showing them the outcomes of distracted driving. Teaching new drivers, the importance of staying focused on the road, being cautious, and being considerate of others around them can help to decrease the amount fatalities. The choices a driver makes will affect themselves, their passengers, and others around them. If a single driver is more knowledgeable of being safe on the roads, they are one less person that will cause accidents on the road. They can advise their friends about why they should take driving seriously and let them know what they could do to avoid a situation by being careful on the road. They can teach them some tips on how to be a safer driver.

To make a more responsible and safer driver, a driver can put their phone on silent or airplane mode. They can let their friends and family know that will not answer the phone when they are driving. If they need to answer the phone, they can pull over safely to the side of the road and make the call if they are able to. A driver should keep both hands on the wheel, keep their eyes on the road and be aware of their surroundings. The driver should be comfortable in the car that will allow them to safely and efficiently drive their vehicle. If the driver is not sure that they can operate their vehicle, the driver should not drive. Drivers should leave with more than enough time from their current destination to make it to their new destination to avoid rushing and causing an accident. In addition, the driver should not try to multitask in the vehicle, instead they should focus on getting to their destination.

Fortunately, I have not experienced a car accident. Although, I have seen some of my family members drive irresponsibly and have learned from their mistakes, so I do not repeat the same mistakes they made. There was something to take away from seeing my family members driving incorrectly. There was a new lesson learned each time I was in the vehicle, such as not messing with the radio or eating food while driving. A few things I can do to be a better driver are not getting distracted while driving and limit distractions around me. I can continue to practice safe driving techniques and educate others around me the importance of being a safe driver. I can correctly demonstrate the driving techniques that I have been taught and give tips to new drivers about what situations they can prevent from occurring. I can also provide driving school recommendations to the drivers, so they can get the proper education from a school. Furthermore, they can have the instructors that have more experience with driving, correctly teach them how to be a safer and better driver. I could also provide my assistance to drivers that might have some questions since I have completed driving school. The more people that are more knowledgeable about safe driving, the less possible accidents can occur. Therefore, more people can be educated, and more lives can be saved.
