Many might say that the biggest factor of deaths as a result of driving is being intoxicated but the main cause is the use of cellphones. We’re constantly using our phones everyday that we don’t even enjoy the time we have left. We waisted watching netflix or being on social media all day. We never know when anything can happen and wouldn’t you regret wasting all your time on your phone rather than enjoying it with your friends and family. Some precautions we can take to avoid deaths related to driving is putting your phone in airplane mode or silent until you’re done driving as well as avoiding distractions and steering clear of alcohol. My dad once got in a car accident because the other driver was driving intoxicated and crashed him. Sadly we don’t know who it was since he left the scene. Although nothing severely bad happened to him I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. I just simply ask that you take precautions while driving and keep your eyes on the roads. Some steps we as the community can take to be a better and safer driver as well as helping others become safer on the road is one drive the speed limit, watch out for the weather, look at all ways during an intersection, put your blinkers in case of an accident, try to maintain control when your tires blow out, keep calm and dont road rage. There are various more precautions we can take to keep the roads safe. Also try to avoid street races where it’s prohibited especially in school zones. We wouldn’t want to put an end to someone’s life whose future awaited them. If it were your family member or someone close to you who got in the accident and sorrowfully passed away because of it wouldn’t you want to spread awareness? Many people have this idea in their head that nothing will ever happen to them but it can. We can’t predict what our future will be. We don’t know when something can happen to us. All we can do is spread awareness and take precautions. We can better the community.
