Think Before Driving

Think Before Driving

Driver education is crucial and required for people to get, so they receive the basic knowledge on driving safely; moreover, take the time to teach us how to operate appropriately. Driver education is also essential because they teach the dangers of driving and teach people how to become responsible drivers on the road, although that doesn’t mean everyone listens. We can make more people listen by having them correlate losing a loved one in a car accident and questioning if they want the same to happen to them. What matters is that everyone gets informed about the hazards and safety these days, and people should know when to use that knowledge wisely.

Driving today had become more dangerous than in the past because people didn’t have as many distractions as we do today. Steps people should take to minimize the number of deaths people have to limit themselves to the car’s distractions. These distractions consist of smartphones, eating, drinking, doing makeup, and having arguments with people in the car while driving. Moreover, when people pay attention to distractions, it takes their attention off the road, causing a major car accident that includes innocent lives at stake. Above all, people should wait to respond to these situations or pull over and place their hazard lights if the problem is desperate for attention. People need to have the self-control to avoid distractions to keep themselves and others safe on the road.

Thankfully I’ve never experienced a car accident in my lifetime yet, although yes, some friends from my past life have driven irresponsibly. If I am honest, there were some scary moments I encountered because it felt like at any moment we were going to crash. We did tell them to tone it down a little bit because we didn’t want to get into trouble or stopped, and they listened. So yes, I encourage more people to drive cautiously since there are innocent lives at hand besides our own, and some want to cherish the life they have left. Most importantly, I’m glad to this day nothing terrible happened to us, and it has encouraged me to drive cautious when I am now driving alone or with friends.

Furthermore, steps I can take to become a more reliable driver is to make sure my passengers always have their seatbelts before proceeding to drive. Along with eliminating all distractions, putting my phone on silent away from reach prevents accidents; moreover, wait to attend anything else that isn’t the road. Please make sure people in the car that are with me don’t distract me and wait to inform me of what’s going on in the car later. We could help prevent accidents together as a community when someone else is driving by respecting their space and not cause any distractions. People also need to learn to manage their lives more important or a dumb distraction that could cost them their lives. Even worse, someone else’s life and have a guilty mindset for the rest of their lives.
