Drivers education could save lives
Drivers education is very important in reducing the number of deaths. Educating drivers on the possibility of what can happen if they don’t practice safe driving will help make drivers more aware and possibly cause them to drive safer. I have never been in a car accident but a family friend of mine has died in a car/motorcycle accident due to a drunk driver. I was little when it happened but what I do remember stuck with me. Me, my dad, and my siblings were on a retreat with my dad’s motorcycle club. The family friend that died had decided to go home early because he missed his wife and granddaughter. A couple days later I remember my dad sitting me down and letting me know what happened, a drunk driver had hit him and he died. It opened my eyes, it helped me be more aware how important safe driving is. I know my dad has been in a few motorcycle accidents, but luckily they were never too bad. Safe driving can help save lives, if it wasn’t for that drunk driver my family friend would have still been alive and would have gotten to spend more time with his granddaughter. I can be a safer driver by always keeping my eyes on the road, making sure I plan enough time to get to my destination so I don’t feel rushed or start to speed, and by never driving or letting anyone drive intoxicated.
