Importance of Driving Education

Boom is what I heard. Sitting in the passenger seat with my seatbelt on a jerk is all I felt. Yes, it’s a flashback. Riding with my mother when we were involved in someone hitting us from behind and driving off while we were driving home. Thankfully we were not seriously injured, but it could have been worse had the driver been coming with a fast speed. Before the accident, I recall my mother saying this time of year, deer are out, and it is dangerous. See, two cars ahead of us hit a deer and pulled over to check on their car damage. I was scared, and I thought I would never want to be in a car after dark. Not to mention I didn’t think I would ever want to be the driver behind a vehicle.

My mother and others talked to me to explain that driving is not awful at all. Having your driver’s license, you have to follow and obey the laws. Once I am ready to drive, I will learn the importance of driving safely. Understanding why I should put my seatbelt on every time I get into a vehicle. Observing other cars while driving is crucial to safety. I am not sure what has caused us to the rear-ended, but to assume maybe the driver was not paying attention to the car in front of him had stopped and had on the hazards. There was another passenger in the car. The driver could have been distracted by conversation or music playing loudly.

Wanting to one day be a driver, I would need to learn the importance of driving education. A senior in high school, soon to go to college, and wanting to purchase a car. I would need to fit in my schedule to take driving education classes. I may think my mother is the best driver and can teach me everything I need to know about driving, but in reality, so much has changed since she obtained her driver’s license. These days you have the option of taking these classes online or in the classroom. Taking these classes, I will learn all the rules and regulations needed to pass my learners and road test to obtain a driver’s license. Learning the safety behind the rules and what can happen would help me be a safe driver on the road.

Having confidence and being allowed on the road will give me a clear understanding of the rule and safety instead of learning them as I go on the road. Having confidence in my driving ability makes me satisfied that I would arrive at all destinations in good hands. As a safe driver, my self-assurance will thrive me to be comfortable and efficient at responding to difficult driving situations. Being confidant will allow me to be responsible because I know the rules and regulations. With my responses, there will be consequences, and being aware of the damages that come with having an accident will make me a more cautious driver.

It is crucial to avoid using handheld devices while driving. I believe this is the most dangerous reason for most car accidents. Using a cellular phone and driving while under the influence are two prominent driving-related deaths. People would still drive intoxicated and use the phone, aware they could harm themselves or someone else. If you are a responsible driver and know that you had too many to drink, you can have someone else be the designated driver to get you home safe. The number one thing to do when getting in a car is to buckle your seat belt. Wearing a seat belt can save many lives. Buckle it or Ticket it. Another factor of accidents is the speed limit. Obey the speed limits. We have them for safety. If speeding and you need to make a sudden stop to avoid hitting a pedestrian or another car will make it very difficult. Due to bad weather, the roads can be slippery and high speed can cause the car to spin or the driver loses control. This could end badly. Driving with safety plays a vital role in the safety and saving lives. It’s not hard to do just have to remember and obey the laws and pay attention. Driver’s education will teach me a clear understanding that I would apply to the real thing of driving on the road. Without a doubt, as I learn the different road signs and follow them, I will be more comfortable driving behind the wheel.
