Being Responsible Saves Lives
Driver education is an easy way to get around the world. It is one of the basic things a young teenager can do at an early start. You can take your written exam for your learner permit at the age of 15 ½. Once you’ve passed your written exam you can start driving with an adult in a vehicle of 18 yrs or older with a license. But to even pass your written test you must study the signs and the road do’s and don’ts. You should never be under the influence while driving. About 1,000,000 traffic accidents happen every year.
The importance of safe driving habits to prevent the high number of deaths coming from driving is going to be to never drive under the influence of any type of substance or drug. I firmly believe this because although others may say they’re fine they are not and this is what causes these high numbers of horrific accidents yearly. But in order to get your permit you must know the rules of the road and all the safety tips if you are ever in those situations. Driving responsibly with the road knowledge can save and benefit so many lives. If each person drove responsibly enough there would be a less percentage of deaths due to driving more responsibly. Some of the major do’s and don’ts of driving would be being under the influence, road rage, and not obeying traffic laws. Being under the influence is the most at risk and what causes most of these yearly accidents. Letting anger get the best of you while driving should never be your first thought you should try to calm down before continuing to drive so your life and that others can be safe. Collisions are also another critical death percentage for many people who want to run the red light or race they don’t think of any damage they could do to themselves or others.
Something that you can do to reduce the high rates of deaths due to driving could be to follow all traffic laws even when you think you make it or think no one will see if you do it. Not only following traffic laws but also not texting while driving, too loud music, paying attention to your surroundings while driving, and trying to avoid certain situations when needed. Also, don’t cheat on your permit or your license exams know all the knowledge to drive because you might be able to avoid a lot of accidents if you obey and drive safely. Know what to do in a stressful situation as well if the light or intersection you are at lights is flashing you should know how it works since you’ve already got your permit n license. Another way to avoid car crashes could be using proper turning signals emergency lights and not letting road rage get the best of you in driving situations.
I’ve never been in a car accident myself. Were many times that I thought it was because of irresponsible drivers. But my grandma was in an accident in 2016 where sadly she lost her loss due to irresponsible teenage kids driving and since then I’ve thought about all the deaths there yearly due to poor knowledge and lack of responsibility from people and driving. But that feeling of losing a loved one to someone else all because of their lack of driving skills really shows why we should enforce more for driving safety. Like I wish people knew the consequences even if the most little decision they make while driving can affect someone.
Some ways that me and you can become better drivers is to have no distractions in your car. Another big one I would say is no being under the influence and driving that’s a big no and literally causes so many of the accidents that happen yearly. You can start off by actually using your mirror and turning single because that helps other cars know where you’re trying to go.I think me personally what would help me become a better driver would be to not have my music playing too loud because I could possibly get distracted and cause an accident. One thing in general that could help to know the complicated traffic laws like the roundabouts. Who goes first at the light when your traffic lights are flashing. I hope to be a responsible driver soon.
