Educated Driver

Being a new driver can be scary for the person driving and other people surrounding them on the streets. The most important thing about driving is knowing how the streets work and how to control the car. For young drivers 75% of new drivers are more likely to get a traffic ticket and 24% of new drivers are more likely to be involved in a fatal or injury. And knowing the laws is another important thing to have knowledge of because it makes driving so much easier. When new drivers don’t know the basic understanding of driving and the laws, the more accidents and deaths will happen. Anything can change or happen in a blink of an eye. There is so much to look at and be aware of when driving because there are always pedestrians, people on bikers, and the cars around you. Paying attention to the road signs and traffic lights. Seeing people that you truly loved pass away is the most hardest thing ever. My uncle died from having a stroke while he was driving and he started swerving but he couldn’t control it because he was sick. Luckily, there was a police officer nearby and had to pull him over because of him swerving between lanes. The police officer was telling him that he doesn’t look good and asking if he was okay. Turns out he wasn’t okay or good, his brain became a vegetable and he was paralyzed with something in his body. He went from hospital to hospital. After a year or two later, he ended up passing away. His nickname was “uncle pig”. Uncle Pig was my dads role model, a father figure, a hero, and an uncle. My dad spoke highly of uncle pig, the night of the call from family saying that uncle pig is dead was the hardest night for my dad. I remember it as if it was yesterday, we were coming back from disneyland and heading to get food. My dad receives a call and starts breaking down into tears,putting his head against the wheel. I have never seen my dad cry so hard before. My uncle wasn’t driving irresponsibly, my point I am trying to put across is that anything could happen at any moment. Accidents happen because people aren’t paying attention to their surroundings. Being at an intersection for example, it might be your turn to go but there is always that one car that comes out of nowhere. Driving isn’t the safest thing in the world especially when you don’t know the laws and how the roads work. One way to get better at driving is practicing a lot. People who practice driving a lot get more comfortable with being in control of the wheel and they get comfortable with the roads. And they are less nervous being around other people while driving. Putting in the practice can show a better understanding of the roads and laws that comes with driving. Another way to become a better and safer driver is to pay attention to everything. Every small detail matters when it comes to driving on the streets.There are so many things happening at once and having your eyes on the road is important because the small thing that comes your way can cause an accident. And especially since certain spots and locations have blind spots, paying attention is really good because it won’t cause an accident or anything.The ones who get hurt are the ones who aren’t putting their focus on driving and they are distracted. Overthinking is another thing because when you overthink something it tends to make it more difficult to learn and once people start overthinking it they don’t focus. Focusing becomes hard when your mind isn’t in the right place. The road requires a lot of focus because not being able to focus can cause accidents or other things. Finally, being the one behind the wheel is a lot of pressure because you can put yourself or even others in danger. That’s why knowing the rules and laws to prevent accidents. And driving safely is important to become a better driver. The steps to reduce less deaths is not doing dumb things that can get you into trouble and don’t drive irresponsibility. No one is going to be perfect and we can’t control how people act. One thing you can control is the way you act and how you drive on the roads. Driving all comes down to you once you’re behind the wheel of a car.
