The serious about driving safe
Acquiring a license is something that most young people look forward to. Driving allows one to feel more independent and less dependent on grownups to get them where they need to go. Teens can organize more activities with friends and visit locations they wouldn’t ordinarily go if they were allowed to drive without the supervision of an adult. But just because driving is enjoyable doesn’t mean there aren’t risks involved. An estimated 34,000 people lose their lives to reckless and dangerous driving each year. It’s critical to understand the serious consequences of driving and to use this knowledge to improve and make everyone else’s driving experience safer. Before obtaining a permit to practice driving with an adult before receiving a license, a driver education course is necessary. However, the majority of students either ignore their lecturers completely or, when they do, they become bored and think that class is a waste of time. Yes, the information is boring but it’s necessary to be aware of everything before getting behind the wheel so that one can drive safely, responsibly, and with understanding of how their actions affect other drivers. Putting on a seatbelt, According to an Article, which ABC News reports on, almost 80% of automobile crash deaths may have been avoided if the backseat passengers had buckled up, a very easy precaution that most people are aware of. However, many people are unaware of other lessons that driver education teaches. For example, there should be a three-second following distance when two drivers are involved. After passing their road test to obtain a license, the majority of people ignore this rule. However, this rule, like many others, is in place for safety and has the potential to stop deadly major accidents. There wouldn’t be any driver education, and there would be chaos since nobody would be taught about traffic laws. Most people would simply be more reckless on the road, and there would likely be more accidents than there now are. Not just those who drive, but everyone else’s safety on the road is protected by driver education. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the drivers to ensure that the road is safe for all of their passengers, and that the passengers maintain a safe environment within the car and don’t distract the attention of the driver. There are actions that may be made to make the road a safer place in addition to understanding the importance of driving education and how gaining the knowledge can help avoid car crashes and fatalities. It is important for every driver to take action to make the road a safer place, even though driving safely is not only the responsibility of one person. Some actions that can be made include: making driver education classes easier and more enjoyable to keep students interested, requiring or strongly encouraging student drivers to complete a defensive driving course, and allowing adults to retake the written or permit exam in addition to the road test. Students would really want to attend driver education classes and look forward to studying what is being taught if the lessons were made more enjoyable and fun. Students will learn, remember, actually put to the road, and talk about more information if they are more involved. Additionally, students may remind other drivers of some traffic laws if they are discussing what they learned in class that day with their families. If you want to keep your car and its passengers safe at all times or in the event that other drivers drive aggressively, taking a defensive driving course is an excellent way to learn how to drive safely. Additionally, it teaches some moves that students might not master during their six hours of driving lessons with a driving instructor in order to earn their permit. When drivers wish to renew their licenses, the requirement to retake both the written and road test will guarantee that they maintain their understanding of the traffic laws and have not learned the information simply to pass the permit exam. Unfortunately, not everyone will listen, and there will still be car crashes even with better driving education and the majority of people taking precautions to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers. Personally, I witnessed a car accident with someone who was not paying attention to the road as they should have been. In conclusion, more people would learn and remember the laws if lessons were more interesting. Driver education is a vital part of driving safely. Making the road a safe and secure environment for other drivers and the passengers of all vehicles, however, is the responsibility of every driver. Being distracted by a text while driving can easily result in an accident, therefore it’s critical to always be aware of your surroundings and use safety when driving. Everyone should review safe driving techniques and the consequences when driving their car.
