Dangerous Drive

Do you think before you drive a car? Being able to take a driver education class can save many lives. There are many simple things while driving that can cost someone’s life or even your own life. Reducing the number of deaths while driving is important because driver education teaches you many driving tips. Being able to be educated before driving can also avoid unnecessary accidents and even very serious accidents. As a person that once took a driver education class, I stand on the belief that it can reduce the number of accidents daily, monthly, and yearly. I learned a lot of new things that I did not and would not have known if I did not take driver education. To reduce the number of deaths related to driving, we all should be required to take a driving course before getting our license. Another reason I believe that a lot of accidents happen is because of road rage. To reduce the number of deaths while driving, I think people who are bound to have road rage should be limited to driving. Having road rage while driving can affect both yourself and other cars around you. Driving for other people and not just yourself is important. Getting your mind and body right before driving is an important step to take before driving. Another step that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths is having more affordable transportation options. More things like Uber and Lyft, can help reduce accidents. Sometimes transportation options can be pricey, making people want to just drive on their own. This can be dangerous because the driver could be drunk, or even on drugs. I have never had the experience of being in an accident, but I was in the car with a family member that had driven irresponsibly. Although I have never been in a car accident, the conditions I see people in and the many deaths I have seen because of accidents is very scary. Sometimes, seeing accidents makes me not want to drive or be in the car with anyone that is driving. While I was in the car with my family member, I remember being scared for my life because of how they were driving. The effects driving can cause on a person, is not visible to all people, but everyone should have feelings and sympathy. Being in the car scared for my life, has since made me scared to ride in the car with people. I have realized that accidents are not the only way driving can cause trauma. Driving with people who are careless can also cause really bad trauma. Driving like you don’t care about other people’s lives is not acceptable. Everyone deserves to live a happy life and should not have to worry about if they will survive when they get inside of their cars. One of my close friends was recently involved in a car accident due to the other driver being under the influence. Luckily, she had no terrible damage to her body. Driving under the influence can be another very dangerous thing. Always making sure you are sober when driving is important. When you get in the driver seat of a car while under the influence, you are setting yourself and others up for danger. My friends are also not very irresponsible when it comes to driving. I feel like often we take driving as a joke and just think of it as getting from point A to point B. I also feel like a lot of kids my age think driving is a video game, so they try to look cool for others. I want to make an effort to teach people the importance of driving safely. I hope more people continue to take driver education classes to keep people out of danger. To become a better driver, I will influence others to take driving classes. Making sure that I resume a safe speed and I am always wearing my seat belt are the first steps of being safe. Although accidents may happen, wearing a seatbelt at least helps to save your life. Also making sure that I am never under the influence of any substances whether it is drugs or alcohol will help me stay safe. I will also always make sure my head is right before driving and I am fully aware of my surroundings. Being a safe driver is important because when driving you’re putting everyone’s life in danger. Dangerous driving does not make you look cool so lets make a change to STOP.
