Driving Ed

Driving safety education is extremely crucial in playing in the role of people not dying from driving accidents in Texas. Without any knowledge given to the future drivers of the world, then the world would see a huge increase in driving deaths every year. Drivers must go through some type of driving ed so that they have a lower chance of being apart of driving accidents and also a lower chance of causing driving accidents. To take it further, everyone should be required to go through driving school to get their driver’s license, they should be required to take a drivers test so they can get their license. This process would save so many people’s lives on the roads because more people would be legally qualified to drive on the road and it will show that the driver has some sense and know what they are doing on the road and will not be driving unsafely. I don’t think drivers ed is enforced enough in Texas, or in fact the whole world. There are so many people out in the world that don’t have their license and are freely driving on the road and that implies to me that they don’t know much about driving safety and didn’t go through the system and I could be at more risk of getting into a crash with that person. Some steps that I think that can be taken to reduce driving related deaths is putting on your seatbelt immediately once you get into the car. You have a significantly higher chance of surviving a car accident when on the road if you have your seatbelt on as suppose to not having your seatbelt on. So many people getting ejected out of the car once they get into an accident and it’s because they are never wearing their seatbelt in the car. The seatbelt is there for a reason and it’s for people’s safety. Another step people should take to reduce them getting into accidents is not using their phones while driving. So many people, probably 95% of people on the road use their phones while they are driving and that really is one of the worst things you can ass driver while on the road. The whole point of driving is to put 100% of your attention on the road and get from Point A to Point B and that is impossible to do that if you are texting someone on your phone or are playing a game on your phone and now your attention is split between driving and your device. There is now an extremely higher chance of you getting into an accident because you aren’t paying full attention to the traffic in front of you and anything, absolutely anything can happen while on the road. One second everything is fine, there is nothing to worry about, but if you’re not careful, that situation can change quick and not everyone on the road will be driving safe, so you could get into a serious, life-threatening accident if not at least one person is paying attention. One final step I think people can take is to reduce driving related deaths is obey the traffic laws on the road. The stops sign, the caution signs, the signs on the roads are there to guide you and drive on the road as safely as possible. We need to respect these signs to not only protect ourselves on the road, but also protect other people, because I believe we are all responsible for each other’s lives on the road and we should take that seriously. Don’t run any red lights, stop immediately at stop signs, put on your turn signal whenever changing lanes. Fortunately, I have not been in a car accident in my life, and I hope that will not happen anytime soon, or at all. There are times where I do see some of my family members that can drive, not drive as safely as they can. They might be on their phone a little bit while driving, they might be driving a little bit over the required speed limit and going too fast or are not fully concentrating on the road. I would do my best to not be in the car with someone that is under the influence of alcohol, and if I have the opportunity to, I would be the one driving the car. I can become a safer driver by making sure to only move the car off the driveway as soon as everyone in the car puts their seatbelts on. I can check my mirrors while driving more often to avoid crashes, and I would obey all the traffic laws on the road. Whenever I can, I will try my best to educate people on driving safety and let them know all the consequences that could occur of not being safe on the road.
