Become the Next Generation to Support Awareness

Every year, every month, every day, every minute, and every second somebody gets into a car accident. Car accidents can become something little or something big, like car wrecks that involve somebody passing away. This person can be a stranger in your everyday life or somebody you know most dearly to you. This includes yourself too. In the past couple of years there have been more and more car accidents with people who either drink and drive, are on a phone call getting distracted, texting and driving, or have medical reasons. Driver education can lead to a lot of highly educated people to know their surroundings and what to look out for, including people from ages to 15 years of age or elderly people. Everyday in your life you need to show a defensive car surrounding. The environment around you leads to a minimum of none each year with becoming a defensive driver. With looking further into the driver education numbers of deaths each year, I believe it is important to show younger adults videos of car accidents and how they can prevent this from happening to them or others around them. With this being said I believe car education should be taught only in-person, the reason being is because I know people around my age who have done online classes and they do not pay attention to what their instructor has given them or what they need to know when driving in the future. This leads to a lot of younger drivers to increase car accidents each year, minor or major wreck still determines on how you or someone was impacted. Another preference for driver education is when getting a new driver’s license no matter the age you should take a 2-4 hr test in a class on driver expectations to reduce the number of dangerous people on the road. I believe this will also help in educating people on new laws, reminding them of laws to not be broken, and knowing the legal and illegal things when driving in the United States. By informing more people with how they become more self-aware of these conditions, I have personal family and friends, including myself who have been into a car accident. It is very traumatizing and gives you PTSD on driving depending on the major impact it had on you. With friends and family being involved in serious and major car wrecks I have only had a minor accident which still gave me PTSD for a couple of months, which gave me self awareness on how I need to be more careful on the road in everyday life. One of my close friends was only a toddler when she was in a major car wreck with her father in an irresponsible way, including her and her father being escorted to the hospital to get stitches and surgery to keep them alive. With this story not impacting me, it impacted my closest friend dearly and to this day whenever she talks about that experience she is very emotional about not knowing why people around her life did not stop her father from driving that night. Even if it does not impact your life and what you do, others around the United States get impacted with these experiences and can change their lives for the worse. With sharing these car accidents to you, knowing how my impact of driver education helped me before I started driving to currently being on the road as a 19 year old, this shows how driver education gives younger adults a main idea of what to do to not create more accidents. Everyone needs to be self aware of what is happening around them in traffic depending if you are on a freeway or just on a generic road in your community. Being involved in something that can change your life will give you challenges of what to do and what not to do. Think to yourself when you head into school, work, meeting family, or even doing tasks for your everyday life; how do I want to impact my community to be educated into deaths in car accidents and what can I do to prevent that? Giving yourself an impact of doing something great within the community or just in general can have an impact on everybody around you. Ask people around you these three questions; How can you impact your community to become safer at driving? How will you share your experience with others for them to be self aware of their surroundings? How can you give wisdom to others around you to reduce the number of car accidents?
