Importance
of diving

Driving
is a lot of responsibility but many teenagers think it’s a joke! I
have participated in Krystal’s Caring Angles, which is an
organization of young adults who have lost their life to a drunk
driver. The father of Krystal was so brave to have shared his story
and explained the impact of the accident. Ever since I participated
in that organization, I have been super cautious and have been trying
to persuade college students that driving under the influence should
never happen, That way the number of deaths are reduced. Every
weekend when my friends or acquaintances decide they want to go out,
I always choose to be the designated driver. By participating in this
act, it will prevent anyone from getting hurt. Driving under the
speed limit and always having your eyes on the road should be a
priority. I’m not saying you can’t have fun in the car, as long
as the music isn’t too loud and you’re focused on the road,
everything should be fine.

In
the past 3 years, I have lost two friends because they decided to
make poor choices. One of them was driving over the speed limit and
hit a curb. His SUV went flying and flipped over many times, on top
of that he was not wearing his seat belt. It was an instant death.
Going over the speed limit can impact so many lives in just 5
seconds. My other friend just recently died from driving under the
influence of alcohol. He was speeding in Magnolia, Texas in his
neighborhood and hit a brick mailbox. He was not wearing his seatbelt
so he died instantly.

That
was devastating for me, what hurt the most was that we both attended
the Krystal’s Caring Angels assembly together. He made a mistake
and lost his life completely. Losing two friends due to mistakes
scares me. That is why I like to Uber, I enjoy driving people around
and making sure they arrive safe to their destination. Helping these
people who do not have any transportation makes me feel good. I
encourage my friends to start driving around using either uber or
lyft to help the people in need. Not only do I help people with their
transportation but I look out for my younger siblings and younger
friends. I always explain to them the importance of driving. Always
being focused on the road will prevent you from any car accident.
Being able to develop checking your mirror often will help you drive
more smoothly. Another good tip would be keeping an eye out on other
cars. Some drivers like to only focus on their driving but if you are
focusing on some of the other drivers you will have a heads up on
when they are switching lanes or when they are stopping. That way
there is no car accident.
