Driver’s Education is a Must

Driver’s Education is a Must

The importance of driver’s education can reduce the number deaths on the road by improving the awareness of student drivers. Awareness of practicing good habits on the road can minimize bad tendencies student drivers have. New drivers don’t have the experience or full awareness when driving, and those limitations could potentially contribute to fatal car accidents. Driver’s Education can reinforce good habits

There are basic steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. First of all, Driver’s Education reiterates the rules of the road. Rules of the road like driving the speed limit and using your signal when changing lanes. As I learned to drive I’ve witnessed fellow drivers speeding on the highways, in neighborhoods, as well as in parking lots. My sister was hit by a driver illegally speeding across a parking lot. Her car was significantly damaged, but thankfully no one was injured. This accident showed me the risk when drivers irresponsibly don’t obey the rules of the road.

As mentioned in the previous paragraph, there are basic and simple steps to be a better and safer driver. Driving the speed limit is a key factor. Driving the proper speed limit whether on the highway or in the neighborhood gives us time to respond if a driving incident occurs. Also, keeping distance from the car ahead of us allows us to respond when driving. Along with the speed limit, and proper distance between vehicles, we have to use our signals when turning, and changing lanes. Using our signals notifies other drivers of our intentions while driving. If we all took those basic steps as drivers, that will assist in safer driving. I truly believe safer driving will help minimize the risk of fatalities on the road.
