Be safe Drive safe

Each year around 2,500 teenagers ages 13-18 die because of a car accident and around 21% of the car accidents occur because they are distracted by a cell phone. In the United States 10,000 people die each year because of drunk driving and around 38,800 people teenagers and adults have died in 2019 due to a car incident. Driving is a huge responsibility and one of the huge responsibilities is your life and other peoples life that you may put in danger if you don’t drive safely.

Each year around 1.6 million people crash because they are distracted with a little square screen called a cell phone. Each year 390,000 people have severe injuries because they were texting while driving or checking their social media and because of that little distraction they are either part of the 1.6 million who die each year because they text and drive or they are lucky enough and survive but are left with severe injuries. Texting and driving is a very dangerous thing to do please think about it before doing it. Is it worth risking your life to answer a text that can wait for later? Next time you get in your vehicle, turn off your cell phone or silent it so you won’t be distracted or tempted to grab your phone, keep your eyes on the road and stay safe and stay great!

Drinking and driving is one of the biggest causes of car accidents that are preventable around 10,000 people die each year because they decide to drink and drive. People who drink drive are most likely to end up in a car crash and die or if they’re lucky enough they will survive but will be left with severe injuries. Especially during New years when people decide to get drunk because of the celebration of New years but each year around 140 people from around 1am to 3am because of drinking and driving. My advice to you is if your gonna drink don’t drive and if you need to get to a location take an uber or let a person who hasn’t drinked drive you. Remember you’re not putting your life in major risk by drunk driving but you’re also putting everyone surrounding you lifes in great danger next time you think about drinking and driving think about who’s innocent life you may ruin because of a poor choice you made or think about the huge risk you are placing yourself in.

Take precautions while remembering you are not only putting yourself in danger but everyone else in that road. Be safe and drive safe, turn on your signals before turning so the car behind you can see what you’re going to do next and not bump into you. Pay attention to your surroundings, stay on the speed limit and don’t pass a red light. Most importantly pay close attention to the roads, don’t text and drive and absolutely please do not drink and drive. Stay safe Drive safe !
