Importance of Drivers Education

Knowing how to drive safe can not only save your life, but it can save other people’s lives as well. When you are driving, you need to be aware of your surroundings, and you need to be alert at all times. Do not ever drive if you are sleepy or if you are emotional. You should never drink and drive. It puts a risk on yours and others’ lives. You need to be fully in the know when you are behind the wheel.

The importance of driver’s education is reducing the number of deaths caused by young drivers. This course educates you on how to drive safely on the road. Knowing how to drive safely will keep everyone on the road safe including pedestrians. If you do not educate yourself, you are putting everyone’s life in danger.

Steps, you should take to keep yours and others’ lives out of danger are simple. One, you need to stay off of your devices. Your eyes need to be on the road at all times. Two, you need to pay attention to your surroundings. Three, you need to drive at a reasonable speed not speeding Use your common sense to determine if you are going too fast but also the rules of the road learned in driver’s education class.

I have only been in one car crash. We were coming out of a McDonald’s parking lot, and a lady ran into the side of our car. Before we turned onto the street, everyone looked to make sure there was no one coming. None of us saw anyone. Once we turned onto the street, a lady came flying down the street and slammed on her brakes. She made a dent on the side of our car on my door. That moment I realized even more how important it is to obey the speed limit and be aware of your surroundings.

There are various ways I can help others and myself become better drivers. I need to remind myself to pay attention to my surroundings and obey signs along the road. I can help others by reminding them what the speed limit is. I can also remind them to stay off their phones or devices. I can also help the driver look for oncoming traffic when turning into a lane, or when they decide to pass another vehicle.

Driving safely does not just keep your life safe but others as well. Being fully educated on how to drive safely keeps everyone and their lives safe. There are driving laws for a reason. You need to obey them. You cannot ignore them. Next time, you are driving. Ask yourself if you are doing everything possible to keep yourself and others safe around you.
