Drivers education is important in reducing the number of deaths because not knowing how to navigate on the road and not being smart in a car can lead to death. Driving a car is not just driving a car. Meaning you need to know the proper rules on the road. Having education on car safety can prevent you from car accidents, tickets, etc. Driver education is there to help and provide you for the risks and the tasks you do when you are on the road. It is also important to educate yourself about the safety in a car because you cannot drive reckless and disobey the rules when on the road. Therefore, knowing the precautions on the road is critical. The steps that could be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving is being aware of who you give the license too. The guidelines to getting a license should be stricter on how well things went on the test. Also, have an app on the phone telling you to get off the phone when driving. Most car accidents happen when people are on their phone. In this generation the addiction to social media and being on the phone in general, has caused many car accidents. Last, add more cameras to the streets and catch every moment when someone is either speeding or catch what happened when someone does get into an accident. The county/state should add cameras to all streets. This will help dramatically because you get to see and watch how the accidents happen, who was in the car, and who caused the accident. Also, that can help with people speeding and catch the license plate on camera. It will be an easier job to find these people and take care of them. I have had experience of being in a car accident. It was a minor car accident but was major enough that caused future pain in my mom and sisters’ body. We were at the stop lights and she was driving behind us and was on the phone not aware of how close she was to us. She ended up bumping us on the back of our car. After she bumped us, she even told my family that she was texting while driving. I have seen my sister driver irresponsibly. She was texting while driving. I told her to put the phone down and said I can just change the song while she drove. Which was the smart decision. A step I can take to be a better and safer driver is put the phone down while driving and not only be safe for you but the cars around you. Be aware of the other cars because they could be making a dumb decision and you do not notice and end up in an accident. In conclusion, knowing the education to drive, knowing the dangers of driving, and knowing what can happen when driving is all important.
