Anyone
can drive, even a baby can with assistance, but that, of course, is
not allowed, they are not considered fit to drive. So, why do crashes
happen if those with licenses have been deemed fit to drive? Because
it is easy to get a driver’s license, because drivers only ever act
as they fully should during the driving test, because nothing is
there to prevent anyone with the keys from driving. But, if educated,
and educated well enough, the drivers themselves manage themselves,
but they do not. They cannot comprehend the consequences of their
actions until it happens, until they get the bill, until they are
injured, or until someone dies because of a crash they either caused
or were a part of. With proper education, drivers can witness what I
mentioned so that they could comprehend but currently all it takes is
a knowledge and driver’s test, it does not do enough. I have,
thankfully, never been in a car crash but the number of close calls
from drunk drivers panics me now because of how easy it is for
something to go wrong. So, all I really ask is that drivers behave
how they would when they were taking the test or even when around
police cars, because they sure do pay attention to what they are
doing then rather than when they are not.
