Knowing
the importance if drivers ed is important so that you can drive
safe from point A to point B, and reduce the amount of accidents that
happen each day. Each day 29 people die to, drunk driving incidents,
that is about one every 50 minutes. There are many steps that can be
taken to reduce that rate, but the big one is do not drive home
drunk. Ways to make sure of this is to have a designated driver, have
plans for a friends to come and pick you up, and make sure to call an
uber or any other ride share services, if you are not able to drive
even if that means leaving your car in the parking lot overnight. By
educating the drivers of this danger and what it can do due a family
is very important. Often the deaths in the car accidents of a drunk
are the sober people not the intoxicated driver. This is the case
because as they are drunk their body is completely relax so that when
it gets it a crash it does not tense up which could sue injuries. The
victims however do not have the stimuli running in their system so
natural their body tenses up at impact which is a cause for the
serious injuries. A person’s body who is drunk is similar to a
person who is sleeping where all of their muscles are relaxed.
Luckily
I have not been in a car accident or have had any family members in a
car accident where I was old enough to understand what was going on.
I have heard stories from other people about their loved ones invited
in serious car accidents due to distracted or reckless driving. Just
the amount of pain that they go through even after years have past is
not worth that text back. There is no text that is so important that
it must be answered right away, and if it is an emergency the driver
should either pull over to respond or if there are any passengers
have them respond to the text message. The victims of these accidents
who survive will have big mental scares and physical scare. They
could face many surgeries trying to get them back up to full health
and will cost them a big amount of money for something that could
have easily been prevented. Along with PTSD of the incident could
greatly affect their mind; which could include the fear of driving
and not wanting to do it again because of just one person being
irresponsible.
Steps
that can be taken to help better safe driving is a course as you are
doing online drivers ed. It would just be a lesson of what
toll it takes on a family just because one person made a bad
decision. Along with statistics of car accidents and other distracted
driving incidents that are common today. There is also a program
right now called Every 15 Minutes where it stages a drunk driving
incident and it documents the toll on a family once they find out
their child has died or is seriously injured and is struggling to
stay alive.
