Today young
drivers are overwhelmed with the excitement of being able to dive.
Although, what many young drivers fail to understand is that driving
is a gargantuan responsibility and it could lead to a fatal
encounter. Likewise, responsible driving should be a main factor in
being able to drive or being given a drivers license. Therefore, safe
driving will prevent many deaths that have occurred on the road.
Deaths such as: car crashes due to texting while driving or speeding
just to get to somewhere faster, and driving while being drunk.
In addition,
technology has become a problem in this generations because many
teenagers are lost in their own world and are not aware of their
surroundings. In other words, technology has become a big influence
on the youth and this results into irresponsible actions while
driving. For example, texting while driving has become a common
mistake in driving because many people fail to see the danger of not
looking at the road even if it is for a split second. Texting while
driving could lead to a deadly car crash that could have been avoided
if people would just ignore a text or phone call. As a result, people
should be more aware of the road and avoid texting while driving to
prevent a deadly situation.
Furthermore,
drivers ed is crucial in reducing the deaths that have been
caused by driving because it establishes the knowledge to prevent car
crashes that could have led to death. For example, someone without
drivers ed would have more of a chance of crashing due to lack
of knowing the rules of driving and what to watch out for. Thus,
someone who has knowledge of the road knows how things work and they
can avoid crashing. However, some experienced drivers still make
irresponsible mistakes in driving. For example, Sometimes when my
family is running late to an event or get together my parents tend to
speed up while driving. Thus, speeding could lead to a car crash that
could have been avoided by driving within the speed limit, and just
being a couple of minutes late.
Likewise, some
steps that I could take to be a better and safer driver as well as
help others be safer on the road is never text while driving and
drive within the speed limit no matter how much of a rush I am in.
Moreover, to help others I could give some friendly advice about
driving and point out any mistakes or irresponsible actions people
may do while driving. It may be irritating to the driver if I point
out every little mistake he or her makes, but its always better to be
safe than sorry. In addition, people need to take driving more
seriously because driving irresponsibly could mean life or death and
people fail to see how much of a problem irresponsible driving is
since it is causing more deaths in America then the Vietnam war.
