Safety is Key

Education is key
in any aspect of life, and that does include drivers ed.
When you are taught on the things that you are supposed to do behind
the wheel. That includes being aware of your surroundings, being
courteous to other drivers, paying attention to the road signs and
directions. That is a key to safety because if you aren’t following
the above rules, you can cause others to die and possibly for you to
die as well.

The keys of safety goes as follows:

SECURE all people in the vehicle.

ADVISE caution being behind the wheel.

FOCUS on what’s ahead and behind you.

ENCOURAGE others to be safe.

THINK fast and good when emergencies occur.

YEARN about all the driving safety tips and instructions.

I have not been
in a car accident before, but my mom has been a few fender benders
before, along with being in a car accident, while in the line of
police duty, but it wasn’t caused on her behalf. It has taught
others to be aware of what’s going on around them.

With that being
said, the steps that need to be followed to make everyone drive safe
on the road:

KNOW the laws
and regulations of the road.

ENGAGE in
knowing what to do for others on the road.

YIELD to any
people and law officials that may be on the road.

Safety is key on
the road and we have to learn to do our part to make the driving
experience enjoyable and safe for all participants.
