Before It Is Too
Late

It
is a very unsettling fact that more people die in car accidents than
actually on the battlefields. People go into war knowing that there
is a possibility that they might die. People do not say goodbye to
their friends and family members before they get in the car. However,
it is rare that the actual car kills people because it goes through
numerous tests to make sure that it is safe to drive before being let
out to the public. Most of the time, the people driving the car are
the ones causing the accidents. There are different reasons why these
accidents occur. For example, texting and driving is the cause of 1
out of every 4 car accidents. There were laws passed to try to lessen
this number, but people still text and drive regularly. Other causes
of car accidnts are drinking and driving, not wearing seatbelts,
reckless drivers and more.

People should not
be scared to drive their car to the grocery store or anywhere. More
laws need to be put in place to make the roads safer. The
requirements to drive should be tightened to make sure that only
qualified drivers are on the road because driving education is very
important in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving.
More laws can only make the roads safer not worse. People always have
safer ways to travel: walking, running, biking, riding a scooter or
skateboard. Many of my friends have been in car accidents, One of my
good friends named Gabby went to the hospital for a long time and
still has scars all over her from the traumatic event.

Driving cannot be
taken away because cars are a big part of our society in today’s
day. For example, an industry analyst has calculated that there are
1.2 billion cars on the planet this year. More driving regulations
and driving educational courses will help decrease the number of
deaths from car accidents for the future.
