Every year,
countless lives are lost through car accidents. The victims’
families are forced to pick up the pieces of their broken lives, time
and time again. What is the behind all these accidents? Lack of
education. Drivers ed teaches people to be proactive about
keeping themselves and everyone around them safe. They are taught to
be defensive drivers, looking attentively for any potential dangers.
The DMV creates change agents out of everyone that completes their
program. Therefore, education is the most important step that can be
taken to reduce driving-related deaths, along with putting a stop to
distracted driving, and driving under the influence.
I have been in a car
accident. While neither me, or anyone else in the car was severely
injured, and our car was not dented or scratched, my heart has
cracked, allowing constant fear for my life within the thin walls of
my automobile to enter.
