Driver’s
education is very important since much of the accidents caused by
ignoring basic driving rules. Driving over the speed limit, not
yielding, looking at your phone while driving and following other
driving rules incorrectly can cause accidents. Also, a person needs
to know how to drive before they can drive. There are some driving
rules that are common sense, but not all. People still need to take a
drivers ed class. They need to know the proper rules of the road. A
person cannot believe they could drive without taking a driving class
and then start driving. That can lead to easy accidents to occur.

Teens would have to
pay attention in the drivers ed class and take that class
seriously. I know what it’s like being in a boring class. However, if
the class is important, I will pay attention. Not paying attention
can lead to costly consequences; monetary and physical. Car accidents
can do a lot of damage to a vehicle and will cost money. The
insurance could cover the accident, but that depends on the type of
insurance. Also, if a person causes a lot of accidents, the insurance
won’t cover it. Not getting into a lot of accidents will help a
person not have to pay for damages. Car accidents can also cause
emotional damage as well. When a person gets hurt or killed in an
accident, their family would most likely be devastated. No one would
want to inflict that kind of pain onto someone. Drivers ed is not a
normal class, lives could be at stake. If teens could take the class
more seriously, they’ll be in better shape on the road. Adults would
have to set better driving habits to their teens. Teens usually get
their driving habits from their parents. If parents are not
practicing safe driving habits for their child, then they are not
setting a good example for their kids. Which can lead to more people
having bad driving habits. However, if parents practice proper
driving habits, then teens and parents would be driving safely. It’s
a joint effort between parents and teens to lessen the deaths by
driving incidents.

I have never been
in a car accident, but I have almost been ran over recently. At that
moment, I felt more angry than scared. I just wanted the driver to
see me since I was almost halfway through the crosswalk. I have seen
my family members do unsafe driving actions, but it has not been that
often. It does annoy me when they do unsafe driving actions. Also I
believe they know what they are doing. For me to be a safe driver, I
will put my bag in the back to make it harder to reach my phone. I
would tell my friends it is not worth getting somewhere quickly
unsafe since their could be a huge price tag to that.
