Driving with Safety

There are very many unfortunate driving accident situations each year which end in casualties that impact more people than just the ones who are involved in the accident. Educating drivers on what to do and what not to do while driving anywhere is important because it will hopefully lower the risk of any casualties on the road thanks to any distractions while driving. It will also increase the chance for these educated drivers to make it to their destination which they are driving to and the people waiting on them won’t have to worry about anything. There are very many steps to take to reduce the number of deaths while driving. The two main ones being drunk driving, and texting while driving. Teaching these new drivers, or even drivers that have already been driving for a while to say no to texting while driving or driving after drinking can reduce so many deaths just like that. More steps that can be taken are to encourage people to know that when they are driving they should be 100% attent and be paying attention to the road and cars around them all the time, not their phone, or the people in the car, or being intoxicated because this can cause the deaths of a lot of people on the road. These are steps that I am willing to take to make the road a safer place. I have had an experience of being in a car accident that was not very big at all but it was still a small accident. It happened while getting off the freeway, and we got off and into the road and a lady was behind us, but she was going too fast and when we turned she turned after us but did not see that we were stopping and was too late on hitting her brakes. I have not had situations where I am in the car with someone I know who is driving recklessly but I have had situations where someone on the road is driving recklessly. This happened when we were on the freeway, and they thought we were trying to cut them off, so they proceeded to drive dangerously to cut us off back and just stay driving pretty recklessly until we got to our destination. There were thankfully no casualties but there could have been and this is what drivers education would help with. The driver’s education would teach everyone to know what is right and wrong and also why it is wrong. The steps that I can take to be a better driver are to not speed and definitely not drink and drive or text and drive. Many other people on the road can take these steps as well because many are very guilty of doing these things but luck that nothing happens to them. The road can definitely become a better and safer place for us all, but we all have to take the necessary action to make this happen.
