The Importance of Drivers Education and Driving Safely
The Importance of Drivers Education and Driving safely.
Drivers education is a very important program that has lowered the death rates. Drivers education properly teaches and ensures that all students over the age of 16 know how to drive but it doesn’t just stop there. In order to get a driver’s license a person must pass a drivers test no matter the age. This guarantees that all drivers have been taught the rules of driving. It is the drivers responsibility to drive accordingly and to deal with the consequences, good or bad.
To diminish the deaths of people while driving people need to take driving seriously. Most crashes that happen while driving are in the 16-20 year old range. Some teenagers do not take driving seriously and they are not safe. Drivers education has tried to get the point across that driving is a very serious matter and should be treated as such.
In my lifetime I have witnessed irresponsible driving. Mainly with older drivers who have more experience and know what they can get away with. I have witnessed speeding, no seatbelts, no blinkers, and some risky driving altogether. I believe that no matter what the age is that the rules should be followed and followed closely.
I will admit that I am not the safest driver because I am still on the younger side. I am still trying to figure it all out. I am a timid driver and I have been trying to get out of that mentality while driving. To be a better driver I need to find the time to look at all of the rules again and make sure I know what they are. I also need to get more experience so I know how to drive safely and effectively. I can help others become safer drivers as well. When I am riding with them and I see them break the rules I can tell them what the rule is and help them follow it. Safe driving is very important especially with more and more people out on the road each day and people should take it seriously.
