Acknowledging the Issue of Driving
Every driver should be responsible to learn the basic laws of driving, and should explicitly learn the rules of the state they live in. Not only would this save lives, but it would create a safer environment where people can move around feeling safe and secured from the possibility of meeting a crazy driver. A crazy driver is someone who breaks the laws of driving, either by choice, or force. Violating the law by choice could happen because the person is sober, or the person thinks it is cool to break some certain laws for the fun of it. Others may violate the law by force from their ignorance, that person may violate a law due to not learning the driving laws properly.
The thing that some drivers do not take into consideration is others’ lives, even if they do not care about theirs, they should be cautious about others’ lives because they have the right to live. There are many concerns that come with having people who drive carelessly. One of the highest risks of all time around the world is death. This issue causes thousands of people to die each year, which makes me think of how much similar it is to wars’ outcomes. We need to make the number of deaths caused by accidents reduce as much as possible, for we have enough death happening around the world caused by wars, natural disasters, murder, and other. There are many people trying to reduce death rates, but it is not always as effective, for many reasons. Nevertheless, in recent years the world realized a new type of “cause of death” rate rising, but this time it’s caused by people from themselves to themselves.
The way to reduce the number of deaths related to driving is of course the number one solution to almost every death cause and problem in the world, which is education. Education plays a huge role in this issue; I think we could make the road rules in different forms so each person could find the best form of learning that fits them, for an example, make movies, visuals, audios, free classes, etc. I think this move would be successful in reducing the death rate at least by 30%. I also believe that the written and physical exam should challenge the individual’s knowledge about road rules more, by making the written exam a bit harder and more depict, also make the physical exam more challenging to the individual to test whether they have the knowledge that makes them pass as good safe drivers and not just drivers.
I personally have been in a couple of accidents (I was not the driver, fortunately), it caused me neck injuries which caused me to have long-term pain. I also had my friend get into an accident for cutting a red-light. And heard from so many friends and families about horrific stories for accidents due to not paying attention while driving or by breaking the law.
My advice to every person who drives is to respect the road rules like holy, and not to take them for granted, for they were put by wise people who spent most of their lives analyzing and deciding how to make a driving world a safer place.
Drive safe, stay safe, stay healthy and happy.
Thank you.
